I applaud you for trying to unpack your privilege. I'll be honest - I've tried, and mostly I get really tired before I get to the bottom. (Which only reminds me how fucking privileged I am.)

For all that I'm a European Socialist, there are times I simply say, "What were the ODDS that I'd be born a white straight girl in NEW JERSEY?" (They had to be seriously small. Even with shitty past lives.) And then I mentally hug America and get on with my day.

I'm not familiar with the term "cis"... could you elaborate?
