Mar. 22nd, 2008 08:20 pma great big farking "WOO!" to having to leave work AGAIN to go to the ER. The advice nurse said I technically was supposed to 911, but I didn't really want to do that [or pay for it!]. She was really concerned because I was having chest pain plus trouble breathing. And my inhalers weren't working.
Sooooooo explain it to Mick, get home, leave again for U. of Colorado Hospital, get seen, etc etc. EKG, nebulizer treatment, the works.
The diagnosis: PLEURISY. I mean, come ON. I have a century-old diagnosis for my issues! Though it does make some sense. I've got an on-again off-again cough and that apparently bothered the lung tissues enough to swell and irritate them and the ... tissue casing, or something. Now they rub up against each other instead of having a nice cushion of fluid to prevent it. OW. I have arthritis... or is it bursitis? in my lungs. Greeeattt.
oh well. So now I have to just take ibuprofen to reduce the swelling and take it easy. Blech. At least I have a someone here to help me through all this. *hugs to Tbird*
