So I'm watching 1 vs 100 and I'm wondering...

why can't I ever get on one of these shows?!  I know as much -or more!- than most of these people!

So. This year, I want to do something fun and exciting for my birthday [March 10, which is (z0mg) a Saturday this year]. I'm not against traveling some, I just need it to be somewhere close.

Ideas, people, I need ideas. NOW.

*teehee*

All hands on deck don’t abandon the ship
You’ll never know what it could have been
All hands on deck my ship is sinking
Don’t let me go, Don’t let me drown

A step to the right to your own rhythm
cause what comes next is up to you
I need a miracle to save me from this
I need the angels to all pray for me
I can’t believe you

Another day another worry
Breaks right through
And indecision bleeds me dry
She's turning pages I'm not making for her
She's in pictures without me in mind
I can’t believe you

The long walks on Moon Light beach
The promises you could not keep
They're so contagious, You're so contagious
For all the world we did not see
For all the smiles you gave to me
They're so contagious, So very fake

And Goodbye to you, Goodbye to you
And Goodbye to you, Goodbye to you
Hands on Deck, Waking Ashland

GAH.

That is all.

Well, actually, it's not. It's so totally not. I'm between jobs again now, since my assignment at the college is now over, and this is getting really annoying. I'm seriously, seriously putting "willing to relocate" on my resume now, and see where that takes me. I don't care if I have to move, I just want some freakin' stability in my life.

One of my bestest friends just dropped the news that she's probably moving to Arizona... as she was packing for the flight to an interview. I feel rather ... abandoned and lonesome now. Everyone else I know is either a) in college, b) working, or c) working their way through college. I'm doing none of these, and it's incredibly wearing.

There are a couple leads I'm following, or trying to, and I'm going to the Job Fair on Wednesday, just to see what's out there.

Anyone have a lead or four on jobs? Please?

Figured I might as well do this now so I don't have to do it later.

Moved out of my parents house.

What resolutions?

3: Did anyone close to you give birth?
Nope.

Close-ish, yeah.

Let's not go there, ok?

My new compy, which is fixed, by the way.

Silly, stupid things.

Probably Superchick's Beauty from Pain

17: Compared to this time last year, are you...
A. happier or sadder? ... it depends on the day.

29: What was your favourite film this year?

Borderless.

33: What kept you sane?
You all. My friends.

Fancy, as in, "I'd like to go on a date with this person, maybe," or "z0MG! I want to marry u nd have ur kidz!!11!!!"?
For the first, possibly Viggo Mortensen, or the guy who plays Don on Numb3rs. For the second, nobody.

My grandpa. *sniffs*

Person? No one best. People? Everyone at the Ohio Camping Trip.

38: What was the biggest surprise in 2006?
I, uh, can't think of any, actually.

39: What valuable life lesson did you learn in 2006?
That one... wow, it's hard to put into words, so I'm not even going to try.

40: Quote a song lyric that sums up your year.
I can't do the whole thing, as it's an entire song, so go here for the lyrics.

Wow, it's been a while. Updates galore.

•My computer is broken, in a very sad way - won't even boot up. Called HP. ohmigosh, I couldn't understand him, and I just found out he couldn't comprehend that my name is ABIGAIL, not Abigoil. Loser knucklehead. The comp is now sitting in CompUSA's tech shop, and hopefully it's just a screwed-up boot thingy.

•I am jobless, and so very happy. No more customers verbally abusing me, hurray!

•I got snowed in last week. For three days, and pictures will follow once item number one up there gets resolved.

•I have health issues. Again. And now I have to see the rheumatologist [or however you spell that], because something in the bloodwork came back ... odd. Not again...

•I got my first ever art commission! [z0mgs!eleventy!!111!!] I'm doing a scene from LotR The Return of the King - where Theoden is charging and the sun starts shining and stuff. It's cool, if I do say so myself. Again, pics when comp is fixed.

Wow. Yeah, it's been an interesting week. What can I say?
gloraelin: A Bunny, sitting on the moon fishing stars (Default)
Turns out it's most likely not neuro, but was some strange form of migraine. After a visit to the ER [conveniently located less than five minutes from my house!], a drug cocktail and a CAT scan, that was the determination.

I now have a nice supply of Imitrex, and have to schedule an appointment with an ophthamologist just to make sure it's nothing else.

Never, ever thought I'd say it, but ... thank God it was only a headache, instead of, say ... a tumor. Gah.

I was looking at my shower curtain [which is a map of the world! go educational stuff!] today, and I noticed something. You know how in Dudley Do-Right, the location is "Semi-Happy Valley"?

Well, there's actually a "Happy Valley" way up in Canada.

*giggles*

Applebee's Red Apple Sangria is yummy, as is the Bistro Sirloin Sandwich.

Also, I'm going to be a zombie pirate for Halloween, and it will be much rockin' cool and stuff. Pictures to follow.
gloraelin: A Bunny, sitting on the moon fishing stars (Default)
First, I graduate tomorrow. Go me!

Second, dinner Sunday went fairly well. We got to talk about ... well, not everything, but most of it. And so forth and so on.

Third, I ... can't remember. There was something that went here, I'm certain of it. Ah well.

Fourth, there's nothing more in my head that was supposed to go in this post. I think I'll shut up now.
gloraelin: A Bunny, sitting on the moon fishing stars (Default)
"TGIS" doesn't sound near as good as "TGIF," now does it?

So I just made plans with a friend to go on a major shopping spree.

Because my clothes are all too big and are falling off my body.

I rule.

I've been trying out a bunch of different drawing styles...
and I think I've finally found one I really like. )

I just like the way it turned out - no outlines, which is something I've almost always done; no faces, again, a total step away from the norm; and a bunch of other stuff.
gloraelin: A Bunny, sitting on the moon fishing stars (Default)
I...

[drumroll, please]

GOT THE JOB! I start training the 27th.
gloraelin: A Bunny, sitting on the moon fishing stars (Default)
my art streak is back, and I'm rather happy about it.

again, I find a lot of my inspirations in songs, for some odd reason, and I decided to share. This one is what started me on this drawing.

And they said we wouldn't last
And they said the years would break our backs
So here we are again my friend
To mystify their narrow plans

You and I were meant to be
Much more than they could see
You and I are made to stay
As they waste away

(Chorus:)
We are shaping the space
And harvesting places
We're the princes of the universe
We are living together
In the here-everafter
In the temple of the evening Sun
We're the princes of the universe

It's a prophecy of long ago
It's a blueprint for the journey home
And we're writing as we stumble on
Making history to build upon

You and I were meant to be
Much more than they could see
You and I are made to stay
As they waste away

(Chorus)

And the raven in the towerclock
Spins poetry and devil talk,
and the woman by the endless well
She's drawing water from the mouth of hell
And these are the days as she says that
We're the princes of the universe

(Chorus)
