I suppose I should start working on plans for graduation - invitations, whether I'm gonna have a blow-out party, etc.

Hmmm. Should I make my own announcements, given my ... not-so-great drawing abilities, or pay money? Or... I could just GIMP some up. Yay for free editing software that has cool brushes and stuff.

Or get a couple of sheets of really good design paper (letter stock), and write up the announcement on that, using printed drafts on regular paper to make sure it's lined up right, then take the 8x11 announcement to your copy store of choice and have them minimize it and put four to a page on good card stock. You'll be able to make at least 48 cards for under $3.

I did this for both my first wedding and a friend's baby shower. Everyone thought we had the wedding cards professionally done. As long as you choose a good paper and font, anything can look pro. :)
