So I get the door 'cause it's the pizza guy [mmm, pan with pineapple, ham, and olives. yum!] and I see that someone has opened the lock. As in, tried to enter the apartment while I was sleeping. I always, ALWAYS double-bolt because I'm freakin' paranoid, but obviously it's a good thing I did - the hidden deadbolt is the only thing that kept whoever it was out of my place.

I've had no notices that the association was entering this weekend, they've always left notices in my door. So now I'm all paranoid that someone's gonna try and enter when I'm at work... although, to be fair, if they tried when I was at home, they really don't know my schedule. And 911 is only a phone call away...

But still. MAJOR FREAK OUT HERE.

I'm so glad that you're okay hon. That is really scary. I do hope that you've alerted the police as well as your neighbors and the association about what happened.
