gloraelinSo I'm a little jumpy right now. Have been for the last 12 hours.
Why, you ask?
Because on my way into work last night, I managed to hit ice. While I was braking and downshifting. Yeah. Wound up skidding and sliding ALL OVER the road, and wound up in a ditch. That was three feet down. My first thought, that I remember, was "Oh god, I'm ALIVE!"
... then it was "Oh. Well. I missed the sign!" And then it was "well shit, now what?"
I got picked up by a coworker [Thank You, Chad!], was able to get AAA to yank it out of the ditch, etc etc. Car is fine, just need to pry the 4-6" of snow from inside the tires. I'm ... mostly fine. Very shaken, and trying to decide if I want a good stiff drink [at 9:30 in the morning!] or not.
